Gustave-Roussy Institute and National Cancer Center of Tokyo, Japan

The Institut Gustave-Roussy (IGR) and the National Cancer Center (NCC) of Tokyo concluded an agreement for scientific cooperation in experimental and clinical research in the field of cancer, in the general context of scientific and technical relations between France and Japan, as described in the Intergovernmental Agreement for cultural, scientific and technical cooperation signed between the two countries in 1991.

This scientific cooperation agreement was signed on November 19, 1996 in Tokyo by :

  • Pr Thomas Tursz, General Director of IGR,
  • Pr François Kourilsky, Sub-Manager, in charge of IGR Research,
  • Dr Tadao Kakizoe, President of NCC,
  • Dr Setsuo Hirohashi, Director of NCC.

It should allow the following to be accomplished : bilateral scientific exchanges, joint research projects, scientific meetings.
