Description:
- Pyxis Oncology, Inc. (the Sponsor) is sponsoring a research study (trial) to see if a new medicine not yet approved for market, named PYX-201, will help in the treatment of advanced solid tumours (tumours that have spread beyond their initial site) and how safe it is to use in people.
- PYX-201 was developed to target advanced solid tumours that do not respond to conventional anti-tumour therapies. It has been designed to:
- target a specific protein that is present in the tissues around the tumour and
- to carry an anti-cancer drug close to the tumour
- It is hoped that by doing this, the anti-cancer drug will reach the tumour better, and it will help your body to attack the tumour.
- PYX-201 will be tested together with pembrolizumab, which is an approved medicine for treatment of certain cancer types.
