Breast Cancer: MyPeBs Study - DeePIST Study

MyPeBs Study - DeePIST Study

Developing a personalized breast cancer screening method based on each patient’s individual risk

The goal of this program is to enable women to understand their personal risk of developing breast cancer. Knowing one’s risk means being able to receive tailored follow-up care if the risk is high, or to be reassured and avoid unnecessary mammograms or even treatments if the risk is low. We have identified the risk factors associated with breast cancer—even for the most aggressive forms—and validated software that estimates each woman’s risk of developing breast cancer. This program is based in particular on two studies:

  • MyPeBS Study: Evaluation of screening based on individual
risk ► More information on the MyPeBS study
  • DeePIST Study: Validation of Circulating DNA as a Marker for Very Early Screening

Program Objectives

  • To demonstrate that breast cancer screening based on individual risk is more effective than universal screening.
  • To prove that circulating DNA analysis can detect cancer several months to several years before it develops.
  • To offer personalized prevention strategies based on risk levels.
