ENT Cancer - Second Medical Opinion Based on Medical Records

Medical consultations based on medical records take place between doctors.

A second medical opinion can be provided during an in-person consultation by scheduling an appointment through the office, or online based on a medical record—preferably submitted by a physician.

Please send us the patient’s medical records by mail, fax, or email, including all of the following information (contact details below):

• A photocopy of the patient’s ID card or passport. Without these documents, a second opinion will not be provided.
• A letter from the referring physician summarizing:
  • the medical history,
  • the patient’s general condition,
  • the medications the patient is currently taking.
• The preoperative CT scan and/or MRI (with the CD-ROMs)
• The surgical report
• The histology report
• Postoperative CT scan or MRI
• Any radiation therapy protocol (fields, total doses, energy, distribution)
• Chemotherapy protocol (drug names, doses, number of cycles)

No opinion will be given regarding ongoing or previously received treatments.

The medical record and, if necessary, the Committee’s response will be mailed to the physician requesting the opinion. An appointment may be scheduled after reviewing the submitted information.
