Professor Guido Kroemer
Professor Guido Kroemer is the Director of the Metabolomics and Cellular Biology Platforms at Gustave Roussy and the head of the Inserm team "Metabolism, Cancer and Immunity." He is also a Professor at the Faculty of Medicine at Paris-Descartes University, an Adjunct Professor at the Karolinska Institute, an Honorary Professor at the Suzhou Center for Systems Medicine, the Deputy Director of the Cordeliers Research Centre, and a practitioner at the European Georges-Pompidou Hospital.
Guido Kroemer has made significant contributions to the fields of cellular biology and cancer research, particularly in studying the mechanisms of mitochondrial control in cell death, the anti-aging role of autophagy, and immune responses that enFsure the success of cancer treatments.
His work has been recognised with prestigious scientific awards. He is the author of more than 1,700 publications, including 72 in high-impact journals such as Cell, Nature, Nature Medicine, Science, and Science Translational Medicine. Guido Kroemer serves on various editorial boards and is the Editor-in-Chief of Cell Stress, Microbial Cell, MedComm Oncology, and Seminars in Immunology. He is a member of numerous scientific and academic bodies (AE, CAE, EAE, EAS, EASA, EACS, EMBO, Leopoldina, IUF, RAC) and leads several research groups, including the "Onco-Pheno-Screen" team (Equipex) and EATI.
