Golden Snack Time 2026

Gustave Roussy is rallying people of all ages to support research into pediatric cancers.

Goûter en or

To mark “Septembre en Or” (Golden September), a month of awareness dedicated to childhood cancers, Gustave Roussy is relaunching its “Goûter en Or” campaign in 2026. This major charity campaign invites the public to come together to support research into pediatric cancers and give children and teens affected by the disease new chances at recovery.

The highlight of this year’s event is the Grand Goûter en Or, taking place on Sunday, September 13, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., at the Jardin d’Acclimatation in Paris. In a festive, family-friendly entertainment village, children and their families will be able to enjoy a day dedicated to solidarity, with numerous activities offered by Gustave Roussy: wooden games, face painting, balloon sculpting, magic shows, stilt walkers, and appearances by the mascot. The Jardin d’Acclimatation will round out the program with a marching band and its iconic mascot.

The day will also feature a special musical highlight with a concert and a performance by Pierre de Maere. At 4 p.m., the children in attendance will be able to take part in the event’s highlight: the distribution of 1,000 free “solidarity snacks,” made up of products donated by partners Tropicana, St Michel, and Fruidor.

Beyond this Paris event, Goûter en Or is expanding this year to several regions across France. The initiative relies on a network of local partners—including local governments, children’s aid organizations, and neighborhood businesses—to offer community events as close as possible to families.

Whether through charity snack events, fun activities, cooking workshops, movie screenings, or bingo games, every initiative shares the same goal: 100% of the funds raised will be donated in full to pediatric medical research.

A vital effort to advance research

Every year in France, more than 2,250 children and adolescents are diagnosed with cancer. Thanks to significant advances in research, the cure rate is now around 80 percent. But for young patients who do not yet have access to sufficiently effective treatments, the fight continues.

As the leading cancer center in France and Europe, Gustave Roussy plays a major role in the fight against pediatric cancers. Its researchers are working to develop new therapies to better understand childhood tumors and offer innovative treatments, particularly for forms of cancer that remain difficult to treat.

This research cannot move forward without public support. By participating in Goûter en Or, everyone helps accelerate scientific discoveries and offer more hope to children with cancer and their families.

Join us in September 2026 for a large-scale, festive, and committed event in solidarity with pediatric cancer research.
