Comprehensive support to maintain your quality of life
The “Mieux Vivre le Cancer” (Living Better with Cancer) support program was designed to help patients navigate their journey with cancer during and after treatment. It offers services and approaches that complement medical care, with the goal of improving quality of life and empowering each individual to take an active role in their own health.
The program is available to patients currently undergoing treatment and for up to 6 months after the end of treatment.
"Living Better with Cancer" is a program offered free of charge thanks to financial support from donors and partners committed to promoting initiatives that help people cope differently with the disease and its treatments and improve their well-being.
Complementary Non-Pharmacological Approaches to Care
These activities are offered as part of a personalized program tailored to each patient's needs, abilities, and expectations. They are designed to improve quality of life during and after treatment.
Adapted physical activity (APA) is one of the public health recommendations during and after cancer treatment. In particular, it helps reduce fatigue, improve muscle strength, maintain self-esteem, and promote a better quality of life. In-person physical activity programs are coordinated by the CAMI Sport&Cancer association.
Patients can participate in:
- in-person group programs;
- remote sessions via videoconference;
- the Molitor program, which combines physical activity and swimming;
- specific activities such as adapted dance with the Elles dansent association.
Yoga combines physical exercise, breathing, and relaxation. This practice helps reduce stress, improve sleep, alleviate certain types of pain, and promote physical and emotional well-being.
MBSR (Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction) meditation sessions help develop mindfulness and improve the management of stress, fatigue, and anxiety. Programs are offered in person and via videoconference.
The "Sur un lit de couleurs" workshop offers a space for creativity and self-expression that is open to everyone, regardless of prior artistic experience. It is part of a program designed to provide guidance and support throughout the course of treatment.
Open to everyone, this workshop encourages self-expression, creativity, and sharing through singing, writing, improvisation, and vocal exercises. No prior experience is required.
Specialized Consultations and Workshops
When performed by trained physicians, acupuncture is one of the non-pharmacological therapies recommended for supportive cancer care. It can help relieve certain symptoms and improve well-being during treatment.
Medical hypnosis can be used to treat pain, anxiety, sleep disorders, or certain side effects of treatments. Consultations are provided by physicians trained in this practice.
Led by a dietitian or a nutritionist and a chef, the cooking workshops help patients rediscover the joy of cooking, gain greater independence in their eating habits, and improve their nutritional status.
An image consultant supports patients as they cope with the physical changes caused by their illness and treatments through one-on-one consultations and personalized advice.
The estheticians from the CEW association offer free beauty treatments in the salon or at the bedsides of hospitalized patients.
Hair stylists and hair prosthesis specialists help patients choose wigs, turbans, and other suitable solutions, while also offering traditional hair styling services.

Why participate?
Certain activities can help reduce fatigue, improve mobility, and promote overall well-being.
Social and aesthetic support helps patients reclaim their body image and regain confidence.
Group activities and organizations provide opportunities to meet others affected by the disease and share experiences.
These support services help individuals maintain or resume their daily, social, and sometimes professional activities.
An accessible and supervised program
All activities are offered in a safe environment by qualified professionals. They are integrated into supportive care and are available upon referral by the healthcare team or after a consultation focused on complementary approaches to care.
The activities in the “Living Better with Cancer” program are not a substitute for medical treatments. They complement those treatments to support patients in all aspects of their journey: physical, psychological, and social.
Social and Aesthetic Support
Taking care of yourself during treatment contributes to your physical and psychological well-being and helps you maintain a positive self-image.
