Abstract

The genomics platform is dedicated to characterizing cancers and experimental models using innovative approaches and applies its expertise to clinical and translational research. Since 2011, it has had dedicated spaces for extraction, quality control, ddPCR, single-cell analysis, library preparation, and high-throughput sequencing (NovaSeq 6000, NextSeq 2000, MiniSeq from Illumina). Comparative analysis of tumor and normal DNA (WES, WGS) is partially outsourced to incorporate recent innovations. The acquisition of ChromiumX (10X Genomics) has enabled major advances in single-cell studies to explore tumor heterogeneity and identify rare populations. In 2021, the platform was expanded to include the Tapestri (MissionBio) for single-cell analysis of mutations and CNVs, and the PromethION 48 (Oxford Nanopore Technologies) for long-read sequencing and the study of epigenetic modifications. It offers comprehensive support enabling detailed characterization of various samples, including FFPE and liquid biopsies. It also facilitates innovative technology transfer to the clinical setting and performs analyses for prospective studies and specific targeted projects, in collaboration with researchers, clinicians, and partners. ISO 9001-certified since 2014, the lab guarantees quality and traceability.
In 2026, it will incorporate single-cell analyses of FFPE nuclei using the Flex v2 kit and the assay for cytokines and biomarkers (OLINK REVEAL panel), combining NGS and large-scale proteomics.
