We are committed to doing our part, to the best of our ability—that is our vision of philanthropy. In 2016, when we met Frédéric Lemos*, we were deeply moved by his story and his struggle. It seemed obvious to us that we should join forces with him and the Gustave Roussy Foundation to contribute to advances in pediatric cancer research. As mothers, we feel a personal connection to this cause and are convinced that we shouldn’t wait until we’re faced with illness to take action and give. Seeing a child suffer is unbearable to us. We hope that more and more financial institutions will commit to supporting organizations and foundations in need. 

The first milestone of the campaign’s goal has now been reached, which has enabled us to launch major projects and recruit a team of top-tier researchers. Every year, when the Institute’s teams present their progress to us, we appreciate being able to see the impact of our efforts. A new phase is underway, with the goal of raising an additional 10 million euros by 2023, to go even further in helping children with cancer. A real estate project to house research teams dedicated to pediatric oncology has been launched, and we are proud to be part of it.
