My partner was being treated for breast cancer at Gustave Roussy by Professor Fabrice André. In 2007, as soon as the first breast cancer researcher sponsorship program was launched, we both decided to become sponsors of this team.  When I lost my partner, I wanted to continue what we had started together so that research could finally move forward and help other patients. To further my commitment beyond my sponsorship, I took out a life insurance policy to benefit breast cancer research, and I’ve also decided to bequeath my entire estate to the cause. I’ve always had a relationship built on trust with the clinical and research teams, as well as the donor relations department. My donations are just a drop in the bucket, but I’m certain they’re helping to advance research, and I remain hopeful that one day they’ll contribute to finding a cure for this cancer.
