Odysséa Paris Race 2021
For the 20th edition of Odysséa Paris, let’s come together to support breast cancer research at Gustave Roussy
The Odysséa Paris run/walk, which has benefited Gustave Roussy for the past 12 years, will take place on Saturday, October 2, and Sunday, October 3, 2021, starting from the esplanade of the Château de Vincennes.
Due to COVID-19, Odysséa is adapting and offering different ways to participate, so you can rack up kilometers in the fight against breast cancer:
• Runs and walks on Saturday, October 2, and Sunday, October 3
Sign up for the Gustave Roussy running team
The Gustave Roussy running team is made up of Institute staff, patients, family members, and partners. It is one of the largest teams in the race. To join our team:
► Register online by September 14, 2021

Use of Funds Raised Through Odysséa
Thanks to the generosity of Odysséa Paris participants and related initiatives since 2009, nearly 4.6 million euros have been donated to Gustave Roussy. Dedicated entirely to breast cancer research and improving patients’ quality of life, these funds have enabled the Institute to launch numerous projects aimed at:
- improve the life expectancy of patients with metastatic breast cancer by identifying new therapeutic targets and personalizing treatments,
- understand the molecular mechanisms of local tumor progression and metastasis to other organs in order to better treat patients with localized breast cancer,
- understand the mechanisms by which a normal cell transforms into a cancer cell in order to develop preventive treatments and targeted screening,
- understand the factors contributing to side effects and improve the quality of life for women after breast cancer treatment.
