Jessy-Carl Dongal, expert in radiation therapy information systems

A true expert in radiation therapy information systems, Jessy-Carl Dongal has had an exemplary career at Gustave Roussy. Starting as a radiation therapist, he went on to become a specialist and then a coordinator for the radiation therapy information system (SIRT). This career progression highlights the opportunities for internal mobility at the Institute.

On a daily basis, Jessy-Carl Dongal serves as the primary point of contact for radiation therapy professionals, collaborating with physicists, dosimetrists, physicians, radiation therapists, and many others. He provides his expertise on issues related to the Mosaiq and Totem systems. These two platforms, which are crucial in radiation therapy, enable the tracking and management of patient records as well as treatment processes.

In his pivotal role, he ensures smooth coordination within the department, as evidenced by the constant demand for his expertise (even during this interview!). When asked, “Why Gustave Roussy?” he cites the institution’s excellence, its wide range of specialties, and its friendly atmosphere.

In addition to his professional commitment, Jessy-Carl Dongal excels in wheelchair tennis competitions, having been named runner-up in the French 3rd Division championship in 2023. Thanks to his regular training, he also distinguishes himself by participating in international tournaments. Jessy-Carl Dongal is also one of the first wheelchair-bound line judges, officiating Pro A matches, among others.
