Strategic Plan 2030: Transforming Care for Patients Living with Cancer

Preventing and treating in new ways: faster, earlier, and in a more personalized manner—to defy the odds and offer a future to every patient, adult or child, regardless of the stage of the disease, from pre-cancer through post-cancer.

Plan stratégique couverture

Committed to ultra-personalization, Gustave Roussy 2030 is constantly pushing the boundaries of next-generation precision medicine and detecting cancer earlier to prevent its onset or progression. With the Interception program, another step forward has been taken toward personalized prevention through a risk identification system (biomarker screening) and monitoring tailored to each individual’s profile.

Rapidly diagnosing cancer to ensure patients do not miss their chance for treatment is now possible at Gustave Roussy, which is innovating and creating a rapid-diagnosis center—the only one of its kind in the world—with two pioneering one-day diagnostic programs, set to expand to cover all types of cancer.

Defying prognoses also means providing faster, more effective, and personalized treatment—for example, through 3D-printed pills—predicting treatment efficacy for each patient using organoids, and anticipating the risk of relapse using artificial intelligence. Several pioneering programs, such as PRISM, which models cancer, are paving the way for predictive medicine for all.

Ensuring personalized care pathways through the post-cancer period

The growing role of digitalization and remote monitoring now makes it possible to receive part of one’s care at home, with shorter wait times, or within renovated and redesigned facilities at Gustave Roussy that are adapted to patients’ lifestyles.

To improve quality of life and minimize treatment-related side effects, the institute continues to invest in post-cancer care. Rolled out as part of the strategic plan, the Interval program offers a dedicated care structure called My Care and provides, in particular, specific support programs for the most vulnerable individuals.
