With more than 48,000 new cases in France, prostate cancer is the most common cancer among men. It is the third leading cause of cancer-related deaths, behind lung cancer and colorectal cancer. Each year in France, prostate cancer causes nearly 8,700 deaths.

At the time of diagnosis, nearly 10% of patients have bone and/or lymph node metastases for which there is no treatment.

Innovating to improve prostate cancer care: three flagship research programs:

● Identifying the mechanisms of resistance to available treatments (hormone therapy, chemotherapy, targeted therapies)

● Studying circulating tumor cells to understand how metastases form

● Developing new treatments

Goal: to develop new therapeutic strategies against metastatic prostate cancer
