Florian Scotté

Dr. Scotté heads Gustave Roussy's Interdisciplinary Department for the Organization of Patient Pathways (DIOPP), created in March 2020.

Dr. Scotté is a medical oncologist and holds a doctorate of science in medical ethics. A national and international leader in supportive care, he is vice-president of the Association francophone pour les soins oncologiques de support (AFSOS), a member of the steering committee of the Multinational Association for Supportive Care in Cancer (MASCC) and a member of the scientific committee of the European Society of Medical Oncology (ESMO).

Before joining Gustave Roussy, Dr. Florian Scotté opened and developed the chemotherapy day hospital at the Georges Pompidou European Hospital (AP-HP) in 2000, and then created the first oncology supportive care hospitalization unit there.

In 2017, he joined the Foch Hospital in Suresnes, where he became head of the medical oncology and supportive care department. He will enable two ESMO and MASCC labels to be obtained for the service and the Foch hospital. He will develop a day hospital for supportive care as well as a shared hospitalization unit for medical oncology and supportive care.

Florian Scotté has led several research programs and is the author of numerous publications, notably on cooling gloves to limit the toxicity of certain chemotherapies on the skin and nails, or on the organization of the cancer treatment circuit in day hospitalization. He is also at the origin of the support care barometer, which provides an overview of the development of this type of organization in health care institutions in France.
