Chemotherapy

Chemotherapy refers to drug treatments which aim to destroy cancer cells by non-specific mechanisms.
Some chemotherapeutic agents can be administered orally, others intravenously, some are hardly toxic and others more so… Similarly, different tumours do not respond to the same chemotherapy. Chemotherapy does not, therefore, refer to a drug but to a method of treatment which incorporates a wide range of drugs.

• Auxiliaire de vie : le professionnel est formé pour aider le patient dans les actes de la vie quotidienne : toilette, aide aux repas, habillage.

Les services de l'aide à la personne sont en plein essor, que ce soit dans le secteur associatif ou le secteur privé à but lucratif.

For high precision radiotherapy

Tomotherapy combines a CT scanning system with a radiotherapy machine. It is useful in the very precise treatment of tumours of complex shape which are located close to radiosensitive organs. It is particularly indicated in the treatment of large tumours such as certain sarcomas, poorly accessible pelvic tumours (prostate, uterine cervix, etc.) and ENT tumours.      

Les assistants du service social vous accueillent, sur rendez-vous, pour vous orienter dans vos démarches et trouver avec vous les solutions les mieux adaptées à votre situation sociale : accès aux soins et aux droits, difficultés matérielles, suites de l'hospitalisation, etc. Le service social dépend du Département Interdisciplinaire d’Organisation du Parcours Patient (DIOPP).

«Internal» radiotherapy

Brachytherapy is a method of irradiation which involves placing radioactive sources in contact with or even within a tumour. This treatment is therefore targeted directly at the area which is affected by the cancer. Brachytherapy is particularly useful in the treatment of gynaecological and ENT cancers and cancer of the prostate.

Depending on the positioning of the radioisotopic material in relation to the tumour, one can distinguish two types of brachytherapy:
