Prise en charge psychologique

Composante à part entière du soin en cancérologie, la prise en charge psychologique est assurée à Gustave Roussy par une équipe dédiée, l'unité de psycho-oncologie (UPO). Elle intervient auprès des patients adultes et des enfants atteints de cancer pour prévenir et traiter les répercussions négatives de la maladie sur leur psychisme ou celui de leurs proches, pendant et après le traitement.

Genomics and oncogenesis of childhood brain tumors

The GOBT team is dedicated to understand the development mechanisms of pediatric brain tumors (in particular gliomas). We are looking for biological markers to identify these tumors more precisely, to understand their origin, to define their prognosis and to invent new treatments.

New drugs for new treatments

An early clinical trial (or phase I trial) aims to assess the safety in use of a new drug (administered on its own or combined with another therapy), what happens to it in the body, the possible adverse effects in man, and to acquire initial information about its anti-tumour activity.   

At Gustave Roussy early trials are conducted by the Department of Therapeutic Innovations and Early Trials (DITEP).
